Omar Ibn Al-Khatab reported that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever enters the marketplace and says: La 'ilaha illa 'allahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku, wa lahul hamdu, yuhyee wa yumeetu, wa huwa hayyun la yamootu, biyadihil khayru, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer [There is no god except Allah, no partner does He have; his is the Kingdom, and to Him is all Praise; He livens, and mortifies; and He is alive; never to die. In his Hand is all good, and He is well able to do everything.] Allah would write for him one thousand merits, would remit from him one thousand sins, and would raise for him [his status] one thousand levels". | Burayda Bismillah, 'Allahuma inni as'aluka khayra hadhihi alsouq, wa khayra ma feeha, wa a'oudhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma feeha, 'Allahuma inni a'oudhu bika an useeba feeha yameenan fajiratan aw safqatan khaasirah. [O Allah, I ask of you the good of this marketplace and the good of what is in it; and I seek refuge in you from its evils and from the evils of what is in it; O Allah I seek refuge in you from proclaiming a false oath or making a losing deal.] | |
